Courtly tennis hero
A landing page concept for a tennis matchmaking app, featuring warm lifestyle photography and a clean, asymmetrical layout.

About
Courtly is the third piece in my Sports Hero Exploration series — a Framer website hero concept built around tennis, featuring warm lifestyle photography and a clean, asymmetrical layout.
No high contrast. No intensity. A completely different register to Rove and Scout — and that difference is the whole point.
What I Find Inspiring About This
Tennis kept appearing on my X feed and on Lummi — the photography, the aesthetic, the mood of it. Something about the sport was clearly resonating with designers at that moment, so I followed the instinct and built around it.
Rove was vast and indifferent. Scout was charged with pressure. Courtly is neither. Tennis at this level is social, unhurried, a bit elegant — the hero doesn't need to intimidate, it needs to make you want to show up on a Saturday morning. That's a different design problem entirely.
Warm photography does something monochrome can't here. It carries the light on the court, the time of day, the feeling of a sport that's as much about the people as the game. The asymmetrical layout keeps it loose — a little casual, which suits the subject.
What I keep learning from this series: follow what's moving. The sport, the imagery trending on Lummi, the mood on X — paying attention to that shapes the work in ways that purely self-directed briefs don't.
